In 2 weeks and 1 day this time the university of Mount Royal in Calgary will be bustling full of backpack wearing eager eyed twenty something year olds preparing to embark on a one month journey to territory anew. It is almost here team
At the U of L we celebrated our last day of classes on friday with a huge party at the school bar a.k.a The Zoo. Now it's time for most of us to buckle down and finish up exams before packing up and going our separate ways for the summer. Now if you were to look outside here you would think "summer? Yeaah right!", but lucky for me if that snow is still on the ground in 2 weeks I can leave it behind :)
We finished up our soccer intramurals by winning the consolation round of the playoffs. Good job team! Maybe we will come back super soccer players from Brazil and clean up the Tuesday division next semester.
We have made our final payments, booked our tickets, and as soon as we have our passports and visa approvals back we will be ready to hop on the plane. Everybody is meeting at Grant Mac in Calgary for a two day orientation. All of the Calgary teams and the two Lethbridge teams will be crowded in res, cell phones and the outside world turned off. For all everyone else knows we are already gone by this point. We will be travelling straight from here to the airport together. I'm not sure what exactly to expect from the orientation apart from lots of interactive activities as well as learning sessions on world issues. Each team will have one dorm room to share with 2 beds, so it will be cozy with lots of team bonding. Cheers to spending a month together :)
I am in the library right now about to spend some serious time studying. So until next time..
